In the midst of all the anti bullying messages kids are getting, how do we explain that a narcissistic, mean mouthed bully won the presidency This book starts to give an answer by explaining the campaign and candidates in enough detail to be accurate and with enough humor to be entertaining Most importantly, it ends with something needed by grown ups and children alike a message of hope Note that all proceeds go to the Children s Defense Fund, a non profit children s advocacy organization.

This book is an age appropriate way to explain the results of the most recent presidential election to children As an added bonus, the book also contains double entendres that younger children will not understand, but adults will get a kick out of e.g., the page that mentions how The Pumpkin said he could grab anything he wanted and displays a picture of a cat One of my favorite takeaways from the book was how it can be used to explain to children that sometimes bad people, like The Pumpkin who was a bully , can win It can also be used as a way to encourage discussion with children about how you can work really hard to achieve a goal and ultimately not obtain it e.g., The Pantsuit s loss in the election Younger children will love the bright colors and art in the book, though some might find The Pumpkin to be a bit scary.

Made for Children but INTENDED FOR ADULTS This was a clever account covering the 2016 U.S presidential election all the twists, the turns, and the faux paus nipping at the heels of each presidential hopeful that left America hopeless ly tuned to their respective media outlets to find out just what happened next This book is also an iconic snapshot of America s turning point where even our government has become a reality TV show worthy of rating spikes and popcorn devouring TV audiences whom only watched the president elect debates for entertainment only.

Cute book from a liberals point of view about the election There are many facts, but also a few jabs at the pumpkin that flew right over my 5 yr old daughters head.
