I watched Fairy Tail many years ago, but I only got to see the first season I think it s been about eight or nine years since I watched that first season because I couldn t find anything to watch the show on where I live until I found Funimation I can say out of all the animes mangas I ve come across Fairy Tail is the one I m most obsessed with LOL I was sad when I learned the story had concluded, but being late to the party just means I get to binge watch read the stories instead of waiting for someone to translate the books shows This was the first book I purchased in the series because it would be a new story for me I like Gajeel and Levy so this was a treat I d like to see of these kinds of books about the various characters I know there are others featuring Wendy and Laxus.

This is my first manga, and since I love Gajeel and Levy I thought this would be my first manga to read I was very happy with it, there were definitely Gale moments in the book which im guessing why people would be interested in reading it The only reason i gave it a 4 star is because the story went by fast I wish they would come out with novels, especially with Gajeel and Levy as the main characters But the art is amazing and I was pleased with the storyline since we learn a bit about Gajeel Maybe next time there will be a manga about Levy..

LOVE LOVE LOVE this FT spinoff Gajeel is his usual tough but emotionally complicated self, and Levy is sweet but tough when dealing with him Juvia and Gray are super adorable as always together and the art is fantastic Juvia and Levy are just gorgeous, and the emotional expressions are wonderful all around There are a lot of literally laugh out loud moments, but when it comes down to it, this volume deals with narcotic drug dealing and abuse, human trafficking, and child slavery Who says manga is kids stuff Seriously, this takes on some hard issues and does it well.

The second in the selection of FT side manga stories done by Mashima Shibano and its as great as the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth first volume, probably better We get a good look into Gajeel s hometown and his past as well as a little insight into Gajeel and Levy s work leading into the Avatar arc of the main FT storyline The inclusion of Gray and Juvia also liven it up with humour and having Gajeel and Cobra fight as a tag team kicks ass Really looking forward to the Laxus orientated 3rd volume in November

Lovvvvvvvvved this I love Fairy Tail, and Levy and Gajeel are some of my favorite characters Definitely my favorite pair up Closely followed by Gray and Juvia So everything in this volume was aimed directly at my little heart D

  6. says:

Side Story, gajeel focus, glimpse into his past, okay at best

  7. says:

Dissapointed that Levy was hardly in it and didn t do anything

  8. says:

It isn t so much a prequel as a side story, but since Levy is one of my favorite characters, that s fine by me If you re looking to see Gajeel really develop, however, you may be disappointed.

  9. says:

    Very enjoyable read

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE MAIN FT ANIME MANGA AND THIS VOLUME I really enjoyed this volume I liked it way than the previous one, as it showed an interesting new perspective of Gajeel Gajeel has quickly become a new favourite character of mine, as his character development is one of the best in the entire Fairy Tail series well, in my opinion at least This volume continues to increase his development, showing origins to why he loves to sing, his life before Phantom Lord, and why he behaves as he does From this volume, you can really see how Gajeel has grown from when he was in Phantom Lord to now, a Fairy Tail member who cares about his friends than himself I need Gajeel backstory please Also, the Gale Gajeel and Levy moments were super cute when I was watching the anime, all I cared about what Nalu, but as I rewatched the anime for the second time I realised that Gale is also super cute too Yay But what really put this up to 4 stars was the next story, or at least for me, was showing Gajeel and Levy as council members after Fairy Tail disbanded I was so excited to see this story as we had 0 clue what happened to the others beside from Lucy and Natsu Not only that, but we got to see an interesting side of Cobra, who in this volume saved orphans from the slave trade I never realised I liked Cobra as much as I did before I read this story I wanted freedom So what I did last night was because I was free to do it That line God, that made me go on a feels trip Also, we got a sneak peek at the next avatar arc in this volume Levy is supposed to go undercover and investigate the guild who follows Zeref or something along those lines I m super pumped for season 3
