Just when you think this series can t get any better, it does Nature vs Nurture is a reoccurring theme in the In Death series, and Apprentice in Death showcases it in this complex, tightly woven case I am, as always, fascinated by Eve s mind as the reader is privy to her thought process as she works through the case Her character development is evident as she directs her team with authority in a race against the clock to stop a long distance serial killer I m a big fan of the character relationship development in this series, but I would be amiss if I didn t acknowledge that the police case investigation stands out in Apprentice Once again, Susan Ericksen is superb as the narrator of the audio Brilliantly written, this is another Must Read Another good read Can she write a bad In Death book Not so far, for me, at least And this is book forty fucking three Take care of my cop Eve and Roarke Still in love Roarke is still helping her on cases Secondary characters are all involved Maybe not as much as in previous books but still there Two killers Or at least that is how it seems One young, one older Evil doesn t have an age And we had Bella s First Birthday Party Das Ork Ta Ta Ta Eve is thawing a bit when it comes to Bella Let s go back to the weird and the happy Let s go have some birthday cake. Yup Another 5 stars book from my queen This series are freaking amazing Very enjoyable although a bit predictable I always know I ll be entertained when I pick up this series No complaints Wow I loved it have loved every book in the series but this one is one of the best of the best The reader gets to know who dun it very early on but the problem is how to catch them and prevent bloodshed Brilliant Another terrific installment to the In Death series I am always so excited to find that J.D Robb keeps the momentum going and I m never disappointed as each one brings a new and refreshing case for Eve to solve, along with her sexy husband, Roarke, and the team of co workers and assortment of friends that make reappearances with each book. The growth in the relationship between Eve and Roarke continues to delight and warm the heart Sommerset is also an endearing character and the snarky banter between the houseman and Eve is always so laughable and endearing as well. This one will keep you intrigued with the complexity in the plot and entertained by the gang from start to finish I m a happy reader and looking forward to the next one to be released in February 2017. Originally posted on The Book NymphoIn the space of a few seconds, three people at an ice skating rink in Central Park are mowed down by a sniper Lieutenant Eve Dallas gets the case and it s a race against time as they quickly discover they are dealing with a deadly and potential serial killer I loved that the story begins with the killer s point of view It really helped to keep up with a complex but brilliant procedural Eve really has a gifted brain and fits into a leadership role so effortlessly She s very different these days as she leverages her team efficiently and effectively, reflecting the growth of a compelling character It s not all about the case as there are some interesting developments on the personal side They were masterfully woven into the story, never taking away from the case but enhancing the overall tale This is In Death at its finest This will rank as one of my favorites Every time I think there s nothing to be explored in this series, I m delivered a story like this one to remind me why it is my most favorite one Everything worked with precision.
