Excellent short story in this series as always If I have a complaint minor it is that Agent Ward is so perfect He solves every problem with ease, seems to know everything, and rarely makes any mistakes It takes some of the suspense away from any situation he finds himself in since you know he will solve any problem without difficulty.

Good yarn Very enjoyable reading Like the references to Irish folklore and mythology Wished the story would have been longer Another good story from Darren.

This is another short, seasonal offering from Agent Ward, the man from UNDEAD He is dispatched by the agency to County Clare, Ireland, to look into the appearance of a banshee which is thought to have caused the death of an elderly lady His arrival at Ard na Mara, a top secret establishment, in an agency helicopter so put me in mind of the opening sequence of Father Ted and it set the scene for the usual clever, witty irony that characterises this series of stories Ward gets to grips with the case and finds out why Ireland s mythical creatures are all congregating here and who is behind it all. These stories are always a delight, always well written and always warm and gently funny I enjoy them a great deal.

A great little short story.I love Darren Humphries short stories based around his U.N.D.E.A.D street agent character Ward This is the third I have now read and each is a little nugget. As the name implies, this episode is based in Ireland Agent Ward has been sent to investigate the untimely death of a woman working in a secret laboratory in unusual circumstances Ward uncovers a mystery project that appears to go against all UN rules.Humphries lets the plot develop very well whilst allowing a sharp wit to make the story humorously entertaining.

Once again, Darren Humphries has written a must read gem of a short story for the U.N.D.E.A.D series Agent Ward is sent to Ireland on his most top secret mission yet demons are attacking a secure research facility hidden away off the beaten track It is Ward s job to find out what is really going on and to put a stop to it A wonderfully witty story without a leprechaun in sight, kudos for staying away from the obvious stereotypes

  6. says:

This is yet another very enjoyable addition to the Man From UNDEAD series It contains the now familiar elements of scary monsters and mad science, mixed with a don t stop for breath storyline and a good dash of humour Recommended.

  7. says:

Another wonderfully written adventure featuring one of my favourite characters, this time set in Ireland.Humour abounds but, as in all of the UNDEAD stories, deeper meaning is evident as well.A must read.

An excellent short just the right size for my bus journey. It is the first of the UNDEAD stories I ve read, so I m obviously missing some background info, but it won t be the last I read.
