Hunter of the Heart

Hunter of the Heart This book can only be defined as nail biting excitement It kept me on edge from the moment I first opened it The chemistry between the main characters was explosive and hot, I m surprised I didn t set my Kindle on fire I can definitely say I am looking forward to from this fabulous author My Rating Book Description His darkest secret could be her only hope Tessa Archer is sick of sitting on the sidelines of life, but the man she s just met on her first Caribbean cruise is way out of her comfort zone He s dazzlingly handsome, compellingand she swears she can hear his voice in her head before he speaks. When Nathan Barcza touches Tessa s hand, the jolt of recognition is unmistakable and impossible Werewolves mate only once for life and his mate was murdered by the creature he hunts, a Pithcus that hides somewhere aboard this ship This is his final chance for vengeance. The last thing he can afford is any distraction, but the siren call of Tessa s open heart is irresistible It also makes her a target of the creature who s had a taste of her and wants To save her, Nate will have to unleash his last secret in a confrontation with no hope of survival. For if the Pithcus doesn t kill him, Nate s partner is under orders to finish the jobMy Thoughts This was an okay story I thought it was an interesting spin on shifters with the inclusion of the Pithcus However, the story seemed to be lacking that special something that would make it a great story Nate and Tessa were likable But Mitch was downright irritating with his constant use of mother effing The excessive use seemed to be a bit of overkill And, at a certain point, I had a clear bead on who the Pithcus was because the actions of their human were obvious and foreboding but I appreciate that Ms Jaye threw in a red herring with the other potential Pitchus candidate Overall it was a quick and easy read Not the best shifter story but also not the worst.Reading Time 4.5 Hours I gave it my best, but half way thru I called it quits I didn t like the way the book was written Everything felt forced The romantic angle between Nate and Tess, I didn t think there was any There was no heat or passion between the two I found them both to be quite boring By the way, what s with all the big words that keep popping up every couple of pages Here s one for you SESQUIPEDALIAN Also, are we to believe that two big, tough, muscular alpha males don t swear Mother effing this, mother effing that These are shifters who are out for blood, wanting to kill the enemy by any means necessary, yet they have morals about swearing Whatever Definitely not my cup of tea Oh well To each her own. 3 1 2 stars A good story, action packed in some parts but dragged a bit in others to the point where I just wanted it to get on with it Predictable storyline but some interesting characters Then it just ended like the writer gave up that was disappointing, I needed an epilogue. 3.5 stars review to follow I might not have been in the mood for this one This book felt like it was trying to be an epic saga type of story, but it just felt overly dramatic I grabbed this off my library s new book shelf OkayI was a total coverwhore But reallycould you put this one back Great job cover artists. Our hero is on a revenge mission to kill the creature who killed his mate, Beth Then in the process he meets Tessa Well being the sensitive dude he is, he immediately assumes Tessa is Beth reincarnated But his mate died just five years agoand his new love interest definitely is not a kid So that part killed a lot of the story for me Anyway, they have the mating mind meld going on, that it seems they can turn on and off, but sometimes they can tI was confused with the inner workings of this as well I kept reading because I wanted to find out where this all went, and I really wanted to like the story and the couple I never really connected with them, and I never really felt like the couple fell in love It seemed to be all about the mating instinct I read through the book quickly, because we did get a few good twists in there that kept me reading I may not have been in the right mood for this one, and PNR fans with a desire for a darker love story might enjoy this a lot than I did Not my cup of tea, but did have a good story arc that kept me moving forward 2.5 stars Rounded down for GR scale. His Darkest Secret Could Be Her Only Hope Tessa Archer Is Sick Of Sitting On The Sidelines Of Life, But The Man She S Just Met On Her First Caribbean Cruise Is Way Out Of Her Comfort Zone He S Dazzlingly Handsome, Compelling And She Swears She Can Hear His Voice In Her Head Before He Speaks When Nathan Barcza Touches Tessa S Hand, The Jolt Of Recognition Is Unmistakable And Impossible Werewolves Mate Only Once For Life And His Mate Was Murdered By The Creature He Hunts, A Pithcus That Hides Somewhere Aboard This Ship This Is His Final Chance For Vengeance The Last Thing He Can Afford Is Any Distraction, But The Siren Call Of Tessa S Open Heart Is Irresistible It Also Makes Her A Target Of The Creature Who S Had A Taste Of Her And Wants To Save Her, Nate Will Have To Unleash His Last Secret In A Confrontation With No Hope Of Survival For If The Pithcus Doesn T Kill Him, Nate S Partner Is Under Orders To Finish The Job Warning Contains A Smoldering, Sex On A Stick Werewolf Hero Afraid To Love Again And A Seriously Annoyed Heroine Who Can T Figure Out How She Ended Up As An Appetizer On What Feels Like A Raw Foods Reality Horror Show Includes Graphic Violence, Explicit Language, Smoking Hot Sex, Squeeze Your Heart Emotions And Humor

What do I love about writing romance The same things I love in my reading that intense undeniable attraction between the main characters The emotional moments that can come hard and fast, or so soft and sweet, they creep into the heart while cutting to the bone I need characters that feel real, strong friendships depicted, and great antagonists Give me some crazy hot erotic intimacy between t
